Our Work
Advancing Disability Justice >
Advancing Disability Justice supports disabled BIPOC leaders, builds disability justice understanding and support in racial justice organizations, and advances NWHF’s long-term goal to build civic engagement capacity and leadership toward a reflective democracy.
Civic Health >
Civic Health aims to equip BIPOC communities with the skills, infrastructure and mindset to elect bold leaders and pass transformative policies; develop leaders and talent rooted in and supportive of BIPOC communities; and foster a vibrant democratic culture that values, centers and supports BIPOC people.
Justice Reinvestment Equity Program >
The Justice Reinvestment Equity Program envisions and strives for a community-directed public safety system that uplifts belonging, healing, individual and family stability and support networks to prevent and reduce imprisonment and recidivism and end racial disparities in Oregon’s criminal justice system.
Nonprofit Modernization Act >
We envision a thriving nonprofit sector with staff that are compensated equitably to ensure quality services and sustainability across human services, community outreach, arts and culture and more.
Sponsorships >
Northwest Health Foundation sponsors events across Oregon and Southwest Washington that further our vision of health equity. Sponsorships are available by invitation only.
Past Initiatives >
In the past nearly 25 years, Northwest Health Foundation has made progress in the pursuit of our mission. We have refined our community-based partnership model, fostered policy advocacy and leadership development, and demonstrated measurable improvement in health outcomes and health equity, both locally and statewide.
